Dangerously HOT.. and a LAST CHANCE

GAHH! It is ridiculously hot out in CT.  Considering the heat index – temperatures are in the mid to upper 90s today.. and will likely break 100* tomorrow.

Thank goodness my school is air conditioned 🙂 . And I feel terrible for those students who are sitting in un-airconditioned classroom.  In heat like this, I honestly do not see how ANY learning can take place. It is just that hot.. humid.. and muggy out.

And thank goodness for sundresses 😉

However, I am also a little bit thankful that there are a few schools – in the district that do NOT have air conditioning. Why!?! Well, thanks to these schools.. there is a HALF DAY TOMORROW!!!

Well – for students, anyway, I will have to stay for the full day – but .. this will give me time to tackle the endless to-do list that I told you about yesterday!  On a serious note though. the air quality is terrible.. dangerous… 😦 Not good.

Now, I normally don’t do a second post on Wednesday – but there are some lovely ladies – who have donated their time, effort, ingredients, shipping costs.. etc.. to benefit my efforts to fight breast cancer.

However, with a mere 5 hours and 15 minutes left until the close of my Baking for Boobies Bake sale… a number of these items have yet to be bid on.

So I am asking you to take another look at these delicious goodies.. and consider making a donation to fight back against breast cancer.  As a result of your donation.. you will receive a goodie.. or a beautiful necklace .. hand made by Lisa @ Fishy Face Design.

So – below you will find the items that are up for grabs. Take a gander.. and think about the people in your life that have been affected by breast cancer.. or any type of cancer.  Do this for them.

Do this for YOUR future.. for the future of your families.. your friends.. children (or future children). There is so much at stake.

Thank you so much for your support – your kind notes.. and comments through this entire process. I could not have done it without you all!

So.. if you want to bid on an item.. please do the following:

  1. Choose an item that you would like.
  2. Send an email to BeyondBananas@ymail.com
  3. Put the ITEM and the BID amount in the SUBJECT LINE ($15 min)
  4. Bid on as many items as you would like… but please make a SEPARATE EMAIL for each.
I will notify you tomorrow morning – of where you need to make your donation – sending you a link to the Susan G. Komen 3-day site. VIA email.

  1. i love your adorable dress!

  2. I’m really not understand HOW a school does not have A/C. I really don’t get it. The students here would never get anything done because it hot at least half if not 3/4 of the school year. That is crazyness.

    • That, is why I would never want to live in the south.
It is the humidity that gets me the most. I can take the heat!
I feel like your tweet earlier.. about giggling aboout people who don’t know heat.. was directed towards people like me! 😉

  3. Such a cute dress! Where did you find it?

  4. U look so pretty! I love that dress!

It is hot as ever here too!

I hope you raise lots of money girl! So awesome you are doing that too! I told you that already : )

  5. How did I miss the cranberry apple butter in my last trip?! My TJ’s habit is expensive!

    • ahaha! I have had this for a while.. use it sparingly. not sure why though because it is SO yummy!

I find things to be less expensive a TJs then at a regular store though!

  6. I love your dress as well..I can definitely relate to hot temps. Always feels +100 deg even in 85 deg weather here in the sunshine state 😉

  7. I love the heat! I’m actually pissed that I’m in California right now where it’s unseasonably cold (like 65) and missing the heat in NY at home! I’ll take it any day over the frigid winter!
